Its triterpenoid saponins give strong surfactant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and insecticidal activity, underpinning its use as a natural soap, hair cleanser and, in larger internal doses, a traditional expectorant/emetic. Cautionتحذيرات
The saponins are a strong surfactant — keep the foam out of the eyes (it stings), and do not swallow the fruit or its wash water, which causes nausea and vomiting. Internal medicinal use should be only in small amounts under a qualified practitioner.الصابونينات خافضٌ قويّ للتوتّر السطحيّ — أبعِد الرغوة عن العينين (تلسع)، ولا تبتلع الثمرة أو ماء غسلها، فذلك يُسبّب غثياناً وقيئاً. والاستعمال الدوائي الداخلي يكون بكمياتٍ صغيرة بإشراف مختصّ مؤهّل فقط.
