Research
Grewia villosa extracts show antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory studies, in line with genus-wide Grewia pharmacology and its wide ethnobotanical use for digestive, urinary and wound complaints. As with related Grewia, evidence is preclinical and ethnobotanical, and the fruit is valued as food.
