Fumana procumbens (common fumana) is a low, heath-like Mediterranean shrublet of the rockrose family (Cistaceae), related to the Cistus 'rock roses'. Like its relatives it contains antioxidant polyphenols and tannins and has minor traditional folk use as an astringent herb; it is little studied and chiefly of botanical interest.الفومانا الزاحفة (Fumana procumbens) جُنَيبة متوسّطية منخفضة شبيهة بالخلنج من فصيلة اللادن، قريبةٌ لـ«ورود الصخر» (Cistus). وكقريباتها تحوي بوليفينولات وتانينات مضادة للأكسدة ولها استعمالٌ شعبي تقليدي طفيف عشبةً قابضة؛ وهي قليلة الدراسة وذات اهتمامٍ نباتي أساساً.

Fumana procumbens is little studied on its own, but as a Cistaceae (rockrose-family) plant it shares the polyphenol-rich, antioxidant and antimicrobial chemistry documented for that family (as in Cistus). This fits its minor traditional astringent use.
