Research
Studies of salad burnet confirm strong antioxidant, antidiabetic-screening, anti-cholinesterase and antimicrobial (virulence-quenching) activity from its tannins and phenolics, and an older report describes an antibiotic tannin complex — consistent with its traditional astringent, wound-healing and anti-bleeding uses. It is also a pleasant, safe edible herb.
