Palmarosa oil's high geraniol content gives it strong, well-documented antibacterial and antifungal activity (including against skin fungi and food-spoilage organisms), plus antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, supporting its use in skincare, as a natural preservative and antimicrobial, and as a calming aromatic.
