Research

Mullein flower is an established traditional cough remedy: its mucilage coats and soothes the throat while verbascoside and flavonoids provide anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. ESCOP and reviews recognise its use for catarrh of the upper airways; formal clinical trials remain limited.
