Research
Studies of Juniperus phoenicea essential oil and extracts report antioxidant, antimicrobial and antiproliferative/anti-tyrosinase activity, and other work supports its traditional antidiabetic and diuretic uses in animal models. The evidence is largely preclinical; the oil is potent and needs careful dosing.
