Corydalis solida (fumewort, bird-in-a-bush) is a spring woodland tuber of the poppy family, related to the Chinese analgesic Corydalis yanhusuo. Its tuber contains isoquinoline alkaloids and has been used traditionally as a pain-relieving, sedative and 'anti-tremor' herb. Because those alkaloids are potent, it should be used carefully and knowledgeably.الكوريداليس الصلبة (Corydalis solida) درنة غابات ربيعية من فصيلة الخشخاش، قريبةٌ للمسكّن الصيني Corydalis yanhusuo. وتحوي درنتها قلويدات إيزوكينولينية واستُعملت تقليدياً عشبةً مسكّنة ومهدّئة و«مضادّة للرعاش». ولأنّ تلك القلويدات قويّة، ينبغي استعمالها بحذرٍ وعلم.

Corydalis solida is documented for isoquinoline alkaloids (including bulbocapnine) and shows antioxidant, enzyme-inhibiting and anticancer activity in in-vitro/in-silico studies; the genus Corydalis is a recognised source of analgesic and sedative alkaloids (as in the Chinese C. yanhusuo). Its actives are pharmacologically potent, so it is a herb for careful, informed use rather than casual self-dosing. Used in European and folk medicine (and paralleling the Chinese Corydalis) as a pain-reliever for headache, nerve and muscle pain, as a sedative and antispasmodic for nervous complaints and trembling/Parkinsonian-type tremor (bulbocapnine), and traditionally for menstrual pain; the tuber is the medicinal part.تُستعمل في الطبّ الأوروبي والشعبي (وبموازاة الكوريداليس الصيني) مسكّناً للصداع وألم الأعصاب والعضلات ومهدّئاً ومضاداً للتقلّص للشكاوى العصبية والرعاش من نوع باركنسون (البولبوكابنين) وتقليدياً لألم الطمث؛ والدرنة هي الجزء الطبي.

Use only in small, knowledgeable doses; avoid in pregnancy, breastfeeding and with sedative, blood-pressure or Parkinson's medicines.
